On Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants in a low-scoring thriller. At the Ekana Cricket Stadium, where the game was played, RCB defeated LSG by 18 runs in a low-scoring thriller. First to bat, RCB amassed a score of 126/7 in 20 overs. LSG hitters only managed to score 108 runs while they were chasing.
When LSG batsmen arrived to chase a 127-run target, they kept losing wickets, which caused their lineup to collapse. Furthermore, they took a significant hit when their captain KL Rahul got hurt and could only join the batting late in the game. Only Krishnappa Gowtham, 23, of Lucknow, scored more than 20 runs. LSG lost 4 wickets in the powerplay as the RCB bowlers got the upper hand from the start. RCB limited the opponents to 108 runs while bowling 66 dot balls.
Karn Sharma and Josh Hazlewood both claimed two wickets. One wicket was taken by each of Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasarangamd Harshal Patel.
RCB hitters managed to score 126 runs on the low-scoring pitch, with Faf du Plessis scoring the most runs with 44 (40).Virat Kohli hit 31 runs while coming in to open. Anuj Rawat was then out after just scored 9 runs. Star batter Glenn Maxwell scored four runs at the same time. Suyash Prabhudessai, 6, Dinesh Karthik, 16, Mahipal Lomror, 3, and Karn Sharma, 2, all left the pavilion early at the same time.
From Lucknow, Naveen-ul-Haq grabbed 3 wickets. Amit Mishra and Ravi Bishnoi, though, both grabbed 2-2 wickets.
Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, Suyash Prabhudessai, Wanindu Hasaranga, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, and Josh Hazlewood make up the Royal Challengers Bangalore starting XI.
