The creators are having trouble finding a customer for its OTT distribution even after it has been released. <p>Bans and debates surrounded The Kerala Story’s May 5 release, mostly because of its emphasis on ISIS and religious conversions among other touchy subjects. The movie has been causing a stir at the box office ever since it was released. They have tried to sell it to an OTT platform, but thus far they haven’t had any takers. <p>“We are still waiting for one of the major OTT platforms to provide a decent, viable contract. But as of yet, we haven’t received any offers that are worthwhile. It appears the movie business has banded together to punish us,” he added, adding that he thinks the movie’s box office success has angered certain movie business groups.
