Sarfaraz and Musheer Khan, the brothers of Mumbai cricket, are presently playing in two different countries. While his younger sister is playing India in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa, elder brother Sarfraz is now facing off against the England Lions in the second unofficial Test in Ahmedabad. However, on Thursday, both brothers scored astronomically high hundreds to really trouble the opponents.

Sarfaraz hit his first century for India A on Thursday, smashing 161 off 160 balls. Distant from, Musheer achieved his maiden century while wearing Indian colors. At the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, during the Under-19 World Cup, he helped India record a formidable 301/7 with a total of 118 runs off 108 balls against Ireland, which included 9 fours and 4 sixes.

The leader of the family, Naushad, is very proud of the Khan siblings’ accomplishments.

“I have eight hundred unseen messages on my WhatsApp,” Naushad said in an interview with The Indian Express. They’re all about Musheer and Sarfaraz. I’ll respond to all of them when I get home.

With a solid century against Ireland, Musheer showed potential after faltering in the first match against Bangladesh. Following India’s first match of the ICC U-19 World Cup, Naushad spoke with his son. Nonetheless, the father believes that because his younger child is receiving coaching from some of the greatest in the industry, he doesn’t need to say anything to him.

“The opener is Muskeer. He carries himself with such composure. He has the advantage in both games. According to the circumstances, he is able to shift gears,” Naushad explains.

“We had a conversation after the Bangladesh game. He was just not able to obtain a huge one, but he was in terrific shape. The monkey has now come off the back. I don’t need to tell him anything since VVS Laxman and Hrishikesh Kanitkar are nearby. He is under capable care.

father-turned-coach

To develop his boys into deserving cricket players, Naushad has put in a lot of effort in the nets. Throwdowns and match travel to other places have all been part of his adventure with Sarfraz and Musheer.

“I asked both of them at a very young age whether they wanted a father figure or a good coach,” Naushad said, adding, “Maine pehle hi bol diya tha unko achha baap chahiye ya achha coach.”

“I’m a very reliable man. Time is money to me. I go to bed on schedule and wake up early. I try not to attend family gatherings. He said, “I have been doing this for years, and the sole reason is that they (his boys) shouldn’t miss their morning practice.

Naushad also gave Mumbai Cricket credit for helping both of his boys’ sports to advance.

Since they are my boys, I have contributed what I could. However, Mumbai cricket has contributed more to the growth of their sport. They are ravenous for runs because of Mumbai’s khadoos cricketing culture,” he said.
